North Georgia Canopy Tours™ has installed the first seven of ten teepees and is offering camping to the public.

Each of the three teepees will have heating and air conditioning, lighting, and electrical outlets. In addition, we have 15 rustic camping sites for people choosing to pitch their own tent. All campers will share the nearby facility with separate men and women showers.

North Georgia Canopy Tours™ chose to name its camping areas after the Seven Clans of the Cherokee Indians as they are part of the rich history of North Georgia. The Seven Cherokee Clans are: Wolf Clan, Panther Clan, Wind Clan, Bear Clan, Buffalo Clan, Red (War) Paint Clan, and Bird Clan. Each teepee has been custom painted with authentic Cherokee symbols, themes and patterns relating to the clan camping area in which they are located.

Our first seven teepees can accommodate a variety of guests. The rates for teepees will be as follows:

1. 18’ Deer Teepee (Buffalo Clan – Brown Section) is designed for a couple and is more secluded and sleeps up to 2 on a queen bed. Linens are provided and breakfast can be ordered at check-in for an additional fee, $90/$110.

2. 22’ Dream Catcher and Oak Teepee (Bear Clan – Green Section) sleeps up to five in a queen bed and a bunk bed (twin over full). Linens are provided and breakfast can be ordered at check-in for an additional fee, $119/$139.

3. 22’ Day and Night Teepee (Wind Clan – Yellow Section) sleeps up to five in a queen bed and a bunk bed (twin over full). Linens are provided and breakfast can be ordered at check-in for an additional fee, $119/$139.

4. 26’ Hickory Teepee (Wolf Clan – Red Section) and Beech Teepee (Wind Clan – Yellow Section)sleeps up to 10 on twin bunk beds. Linens are not provided for the Hickory Teepee and breakfast can be ordered at check-in for an additional fee, $179/$199.

Our rustic campsites are varied in size: sites are suitable for tents which sleep 2-4, 4-6,and 6-8. The descriptions of the campsites are available by clicking on a specific region (Clan) on the map. Cost to rent a rustic campsite is $20 per night Sunday – Thursday; $25 per night Friday and Saturday.

We are excited to provide our guests with a taste of adventure in a towering teepee for a night out in the forest of North Georgia, while at the same time providing the conveniences of home. We hope you will enjoy the glamorous camping or “glamping” experience that we have to offer.
