Newly renovated, the Fairmont Mara Safari Club in Kenya is the epitome of tented luxury.

The well-appointed Mara Safari Club is set by the Mara River at the foot of the Aitong Hills in the Ol-Choro Oiroua Conservation Area that borders the Masai Mara Game Reserve.  The Masai Mara is often referred to as the Seventh “New” Wonder of the World.

Each of the 50 tents at the Fairmont Mara Safari Club is exquisitely furnished with four-poster pillowtop beds with fine linens, and private three piece en-suites with solar heated hot and cold running water.  A number of tents also feature an outdoor shower.  Each tent features a private veranda which overlooks the hippo and crocodile filled river, guests are sure to enjoy wildlife viewing in comfort.  Some rooms feature a larger veranda, which offers the option for private dining.

Each luxury safari tent features water flasks with glasses, a shower stall or bath, insecticide, air freshener, lamps,  dressing table, hand-woven rugs, windows with flaps and mosquito gauze, electric sockets, flashlight, umbrella, refreshment centre, in-room safe, wireless telephone and soft, fluffy towels.

The Main Lodge houses a warm reception area, retail shop, library equipped with Internet access, a beautifully decorated lounge area and the dining room.  At the Club, the free-form swimming pool, al fresco buffet lunches and nightly activities of Maasai dancing, discussions and presentations all add up to create a truly unique experience.
