Enjoy lazy days and mysterious, magical lights at night in this magical destination.  El Cosmico is located in Marfa, Texas, and promises a laid back glamping destination where guests stay in beautifully restored trailers, yurts or a teepee.

Marfa is located in western Texas, and is situated in the middle of the Chihuahua Desert.  A small community of just over 2,000 people, Marfa is known worldwide for the Marfa Lights, glowing orbs that appear in the desert night skies.

At El Cosmico, guests have a choice of three types of glamping accommodations, along with traditional tent camping pitches.

There are 5 original trailers from the 1950′s that have been beautifully restored as mid-century masterpieces.  Each trailer has a different price and different configuration, but all feature stoves, small refrigerators, fans, floor heating, and hot water.  The decor for each trailer is unique and retro cool, with distinctive light fixtures and furnishings.  Trailers are equipped with linens, towels, dishes, pots & pans and cooking utensils.  Rates start at $90/night.

Guests may also choose to stay in 115 sq. ft. yurts, with weatherproof fabric walls and bamboo floors.  Each yurt is equipped with a queen size futon, lantern lighting, linens and towels. Rates are $60/night.

El Cosmico also features a 22 ft. diameter teepee with a king sized futon and a firepit.  Linens and towels are also provided.  There are also additional tent pitches if you feel like bringing your own (or perhaps to put the kids!). Rates are $75/night for the teepee and $20/night per tent.

All guests have access to the outdoor kitchen with fridge, bbq’s and picnic tables; the Hammock Grove; Dutch Tubs to rent by the hour and the outdoor bath house featuring showers, a tub, toilets, sinks and electrical outlets!
