Belleplain State ForestStarting at $30

Over 20,000 forested acres at Belleplain State Forest offer activities galore for the family.  The kids will love yurt glamping.  Belleplain State Forest is located in Cape May and Cumberland Counties in New Jersey.  It is easily accessed via the Garden State Parkway.

There are five yurt rentals available in the Forest.  The yurts are circular tents built on a wooden frame, with wood floors, a deck and a plexiglass skylight.  Each yurt has a lockable wooden door, window screens and flaps and two double deck bunks.  Yurts sleep up to four people and are accessible for people with disabilities.

There are also fourteen lean-tos with propane heaters available for rent in the park, each accommodating up to six people.  On the site there is an outdoor fire ring, a picnic table and a grill.  Flush toilets, showers and laundry facilities are a short walk away.

There are many activities available, from fishing,  trapping and hunting, to boating, canoing, swimming and other water sports.  Winter sports like ice fishing, snowmobiling and cross-country skiing are also available.  There are many trails for hiking, nature walks, horseback riding, mountain biking and physical fitness as well.
