Mew Lake Campground
Algonquin Park is located between Georgian Bay the the Ottawa River in central Ontario, Canada. The Mew Lake Campground is located just south of Highway 60, 31 km from the West Gate and 25 km from the East Gate. It is open year round.
Mew Lake has seven yurts for rent. The yurts are eight-sided, 16-foot diameter tent-like structures mounted on an insulated wooden deck floor and have electric heat. Each yurt is equipped with an entry deck and a non-barrier free ramp, all have a door with a window and four additional clear vinyl windows to allow for natural light and ventilation. All windows have mosquito screens and privacy flaps.
Each Yurt is equipped with two sets of bunkbeds, each with a double and single bed with covered futon mattresses; electric heat and one electrical outlet (110V); fluorescent lighting; broom & dustpan; smoke detector & fire extinguisher; outdoor fire pit & picnic table; indoor shelving unit; table with six chairs; propane BBQ, cooking utensils, cutlery, dishes, glasses, kettle, pots & frying pan, tea and coffee pots (from May to October only).
A comfort station with drinking water, flush toilets, showers and washers and dryers is available in the campground year-round.
