Kokopelli’s Cave B&B is built into vertical cliffs 300’ above the La Plata River Valley and the cave itself is located 70’ below the surface.  Staying in a cave is a once in a lifetime experience.

Kokpelli’s Cave B&B is located just two miles north of Farmington, NM in the heart of the Four Corners area where New Mexico, Colorado, Arizona and Utah come together.

The cave is accessed by walking down a sloping path and carved steps to a three rung ladder.  From the ladder you access the flagstone porch and the front entrance to the cave.  There are no elevators so keep this in mind when you are packing!

The cave is 1650 sq. ft and has one bedroom with a handmade wooden queen sized bed, a kitchen, dining room, den and a replica kiva and firepit.  A kiva is a subterranean room used by the Pueblo and Hopi people for religious purposes.  The cave also features a bathroom with a waterfall shower cascading off a ruins style wall set with wooden vigas.  You can fill the Jacuzzi tub with the water from the waterfall.  There is also a large living room with a futon which will sleep an additional two people.  All of the rooms are situated around a sandstone pillar, giving the cave an open concept.  The bathroom has the only door.

The kitchen cabinets and refrigerator are well stocked with breakfast and lunch items and fruit and there is a gas grill should you wish to cook on the patio.  You can arrange for a boxed dinner or catered meals from local restaurants.  There is a stereo with a CD player, TV/VCR and DVD player complete with a well rounded selection of videos.

There are many activities in the area including spectacular nature walks, archaeological ruins, fishing, golf, hunting, hiking, mountain biking and much more.
