Set in 15,000 square metres of countryside, you will find yourself surrounded by native trees and lush flowers. The Lodge is an oasis after an intense day of sightseeing in Venice, or visiting the nearby towns, and is an ideal base for all your cultural, gastro or sports adventures.

The luxurious tents are furnished with artful objects from the owners’ adventures around the world, and mix natural materials, such as iron, wood and stone, to create a peaceful, harmonious getaway. Each tent features four-poster bed with a white tulle mosquito net, colonial style fans, a sofa bed constructed from pallets that accompanied the first lodge in its long journey to get to Italy, antique sofas and armchairs, original aluminum bathtubs from England that have been transformed into modern shower fittings and antique cast-iron heaters.

Delightful details await you as you arrive to your tent, including soap necklaces Provence, candelabras and candles for romantic moonlit moments, crystal champagne flutes and DOC Prosecco wine.

Each Lodge can sleep between 2 and 5/6 guests, and range in size from 40 – 60 square metres, and has a spacious bedroom (with beds
that can be arranged according to requirements) and a lounge area. The bathroom is separated by a heavy curtain, with a beautiful 360 degree view over wheat fields, equipped with a shower and ceramic fittings (including hot water…just like at home!)

Each of the three teepees will have heating and air conditioning, lighting, and electrical outlets. In addition, we have 15 rustic camping sites for people choosing to pitch their own tent. All campers will share the nearby facility with separate men and women showers.

North Georgia Canopy Tours™ chose to name its camping areas after the Seven Clans of the Cherokee Indians as they are part of the rich history of North Georgia. The Seven Cherokee Clans are: Wolf Clan, Panther Clan, Wind Clan, Bear Clan, Buffalo Clan, Red (War) Paint Clan, and Bird Clan. Each teepee has been custom painted with authentic Cherokee symbols, themes and patterns relating to the clan camping area in which they are located.

Our first seven teepees can accommodate a variety of guests. The rates for teepees will be as follows:

1. 18’ Deer Teepee (Buffalo Clan – Brown Section) is designed for a couple and is more secluded and sleeps up to 2 on a queen bed. Linens are provided and breakfast can be ordered at check-in for an additional fee, $90/$110.

2. 22’ Dream Catcher and Oak Teepee (Bear Clan – Green Section) sleeps up to five in a queen bed and a bunk bed (twin over full). Linens are provided and breakfast can be ordered at check-in for an additional fee, $119/$139.

3. 22’ Day and Night Teepee (Wind Clan – Yellow Section) sleeps up to five in a queen bed and a bunk bed (twin over full). Linens are provided and breakfast can be ordered at check-in for an additional fee, $119/$139.

4. 26’ Hickory Teepee (Wolf Clan – Red Section) and Beech Teepee (Wind Clan – Yellow Section)sleeps up to 10 on twin bunk beds. Linens are not provided for the Hickory Teepee and breakfast can be ordered at check-in for an additional fee, $179/$199.

Our rustic campsites are varied in size: sites are suitable for tents which sleep 2-4, 4-6,and 6-8. The descriptions of the campsites are available by clicking on a specific region (Clan) on the map. Cost to rent a rustic campsite is $20 per night Sunday – Thursday; $25 per night Friday and Saturday.

We are excited to provide our guests with a taste of adventure in a towering teepee for a night out in the forest of North Georgia, while at the same time providing the conveniences of home. We hope you will enjoy the glamorous camping or “glamping” experience that we have to offer.

Wake up to the soft glow of sunlight.  Cook breakfast  on one of our designated firepits, head off for a trail ride or visit Grand Teton National Park, then return for sharing fireside stories with your friends and family.  Finally, fall asleep on a cozy pillow to the sound of the creek. You may even hear a wolf howl way up in the Canyon.

While these tents provide an upscale, hassle-free camping experience, they are also an affordable option for lodging, still providing all the necessities.  To serve our “glamping guests” we have also have two brand-new bathroom/shower facilities, and of course the Ranch Lodge has television, free wi-fi, a large indoor fire-place, pool table, ice machine, commercial kitchen, and large event hall.  Perfect for many types of travelers: whether you’re here for a weekend of wedding fun, a family reunion, on a road trip, or starting out on a back- or horse-pack trip in the mountains, our tents might be the ideal thing.

Timber Ridge Outpost & Cabins offers guests two different lodging opportunities to choose from. Guests may select one of our Captivating Tree Houses or a Traditional Log Cabin. Each of our units offers luxurious amenities in a natural setting and atmosphere that is both relaxing and adventurous. All have heating and air conditioning, bath rooms with showers and toilets, outdoor campfire areas, grills and picnic tables. With Spa quality linens and towels, complimentary coffee and tea, all you really need to bring is your family, fun and food….and charcoal if you want to grill.

White Oak tree house is built in a 200+ year old White Oak and will sleep up to 6 people. This tree house has its own private entrance, two decks (8’ and 24’ off the ground). Maple Oak tree house is built suspended between a White Oak and a Red Maple over a creek bed. With an upper and lower decks, you’ll have plenty of room to sit and enjoy the wildlife in the forest canopy.

Lear archery from our 4H certified Archery Instructor; private and group rates available. We also offer boat parking with water for your live wells and a charging station for your convenience (fees apply for charging). The cabins are various sizes decorated in a pleasing woodsy decor in conjunction with the cabin name.  Deer Run, Eagle’s Retreat, Coyote Hollow, Cougar Bluff and Bear’s Den all have screened in porches, individual fire pits with wood, full kitchens, all linens and kitchen amenities, and include everything but your food and personal items.   These Southern Illinois cabins are perfect for a family reunion or getaway and are a perfect home base for your outdoor adventure.   We have multiple five star reviews on Trip Advisor and other sites.

Each pod has a king size bed, latest memory foam mattress, cotton sheets, duvets, soft pillows, solar and LED lighting. The curved roof and sides feel cave-like, the front opens fully and the night sky is everywhere.

Just relax in the summer sun on the deck with giant bean bags giving you the ultimate comfort.  A few steps away is your own private wet room with flushing WC and hand basin and on the decking, a large BBQ oven with gas ring enables you to enjoy outdoor cooking and dining al-fresco.

Each pod is equipped with a cool box, saucepans, pots, crockery and cutlery, lanterns, electrical sockets for charging phones & laptops and using hairdryers are positioned by the main bathroom.

The ranch consists of a 6,200-square-foot lodge, cabin suites, (2) Glamping tents, indoor and outdoor horseback-riding arenas, stables, a barn, play meadow, an entertainment area and a gazebo on the lake – all helping to make the Bar W an idyllic piece of paradise for our guests to soak in all year long.  In addition to horseback riding, there is plenty for all ages to do and discover at the Bar W.  Guests are invited to explore the entire property – watch our trainers work the horses, help with the chores (if you like, of course), fish for big pike on Spencer Lake, hike the miles and miles of trails, mountain bike, swim in the lake, throw horseshoes, or play badminton, volleyball, or a leisurely game of pool.  You can even test your archery skills or try your hand at breaking some clay pigeons.  All this and more is what you can expect from a ranch vacation at the Bar W.
